Apple might offer music subscription service
March 20, 2008
Apple is re-thinking their music plan.Apple plans on have preloaded songs on iPods. This means that Apple would have to share a part of their revenue with record labels.
The deal that Apple and the record labels are talking about is to license the music and give a part of the device sales. The apple device ,which hasn`t been determined yet, would have songs included in with it.After a period of time, maybe about six months or a year, would go into a subscription type of plan.
Apple started talking with Universal Music Group, the largest of the four big record labels. They started discussing this addition two months ago. This similar to what Nokia and Universal Music Group had last year
