How To Properly Clean Your LCD Screen
LCD monitors can save a lot of desk space compared to CRT(standard) monitors. Now, many users have switched to LCD monitors. They are also more energy efficient and better for your eyes compared to CRT monitors. These monitors, however, are very fragile. Even cleaning your monitor the wrong way can damage it. A lot of force along with the wrong type of cloth can scratch your monitor or even burn a pixel. So you may be wondering how to clean it…here’s the solution.
You have probably already seen pricey LCD cleaning solutions at stores. Well you do not need to buy these product to clean your monitor. You can make your own "solution" with out to much work and at a cheaper cost.
Requierments
- 70% Isopropyl alcohol
- Distilled Water
Procedure
- First mix the isopropyl alcohol and water in equal parts. You should not use tap water(If you use tap water there will be white marks from the minerals in the water).
- Then should pour it into a spray bottle simmilar to a Windex bottle.
- Now find a nice microfier cloth to clean the screen. Do not use paper tissues, it will cause scratches.
- Now spray your solution onto the cloth and wipe the screen. Do not spray directly onto the screen. Wait a few minutes for it to dry up and there you have it.
