Export Firefox bookmarks to Internet Explorer

August 18, 2008

For people that use multiple browsers it may be helpful to export your Firefox bookmarks to Internet Explorer. Exporting bookmarks between Internet Explorer and Firefox is fairly easy and there are many tools to accomplish this.

Open Firefox and click the Bookmarks tab and select Organize Bookmarks. Now you will see your bookmark library. Then click on Import and backup and select Export HTML.

Then rename your bookmarks and save them.

Then open up Internet Explorer and run the  import/export Wizard by clicking the add to favorites button and selecting Import and Export.

After you click next make sure Import Favorites is highlighted an continue.

Then browse to the file you saved as when you backed up firefox bookmarks.

Then select where you want to place the firefox bookmarks

Now you are done
