Add a second hard drive to Windows Vista search index
September 15, 2008
I find the search function useful in Windows Vista. It is better then the search function in the previous Windows 2000 and XP. However it only searches the Partition where Vista is installed on. If you have a second hard drive or another partition then you need to manually add it.
- First you need to Turn on the Search Funtion on the other Partition.

- Now go to the Control Panel and select Indexing Options. Now select Modify.

- If you don`t see your drive make sure you select Show All Locations.

Now you have to wait for Windows to index your drive.
