Google`s awaited Phone will debut

September 24, 2008

The highly anticipated Google powered will be avalible in one more month. It will sell for under $20 less than the Apple iPhone. The device is made by HTC and the provider is T-mobile. However the main buzz is that it runs Google Android, which is Google open source mobile operating system.

The phone comes with three pre-installed applications: Ecorio, measures your eco footprint, ShopSavvy, scans bar codes to tell you the price, BreadCrumbz, which can create a map using photos. Although it dosen`t support DRM protected audio files, it has an Amazon app where you can purchase songs.

The phone has a built in compass which gives Google map a 360 degree feature. Its browser is based upon Webkit, which is the same thing Chrome is based on.

Other apps allow support for Gmail and Youtube. The touchscreen is similar to the iPhone.

It has a 3.17 display, and .62 thick, has a full QWERTY keyboard and swivels up similar to the Sidekick. The phone will be released on October 22 for $180. So far Apple dosen`t have to fear yet.
