I need a new computer but there are oh so many choices!!!
Hey,
I am going abroad next year and I need a new computer because my current laptop (a Dell inspiron 6000) has its screen falling apart. I always thought that I would get a Mac as my next one since I know a lot of people who have one now and they have excellent customer service...And also the other factor that wins me over is the size... I would like to have something that is convenient to travel with...But I was wondering if this was a smart decision to make considering I've always been a Windows user...I've heard good things about HP too....any suggestions???

Well if you like the Mac interface and you think it is right for you then go for it.A Mac is not the most affordable option.If you like doing video and piccture editing then you should get it.I think that you should stay with Windows.Both OSs do almost the same thing.It all up to you.
I find Macs to have a much more intuitve interface. I've been a Windows user all my life as well, yet I found the first time I used OSX, it was easier to use than Windows. Also if you're careless about protecting your computer from things like viruses, trojans, and those sketchy programs that sometimes plague Windows users keep in mind that Apple users are less at risk simply because of the fact that there are so many more Windows users.
Hey once you go mac you dont go bac. The Mac offers more than just video and photo editing capabilities it is a much more user friendly interface. For those who are less computer savy Mac does seem to be the better choice. In addtion Mac is now the number one choice of computer among college students. So whether your doing movie editing or just surfing the net what it ultimately comes down to is do you have enough bucks for that bang?
