my wireless connection is slow
My wireless internet connection is very slow when I use my laptop from my room on the second floor. Do you have any suggestions that can make it faster? The moden and router is in the basement.

well if you have anything interfering it like a cordless phone that could be the problem.Try changing the channels or moving it up a floor.If it goes fast when you are near the router then there has to be something blocking your connection
I checked the cordless phone and it seems that was the problem.
