How to change the font size in Windows Vista

Some people may have trouble seeing words and images with Windows default font.Well Vista lets you change the size. All you have to do is increase the DPI.

The first step is to right click on your desktop and then right click.Select Personalize.

In the personalization window go to the left side and click on Adjust Font Size (DPI)

The default scale is 96 DPI.A larger one is 120 DPI which will make text easier to read.If you want your own custom settings then click custom DPI and select what you want.

In the custom DPI options you can choose the percentage of the DPI increase. Here are the folowing options:

  • 100% for 96 DPI,
  • 125% for 120 DPI,
  • 150% for 144 DPI
  • 200% for 192 DPI.

If you make the DPI settings above 96 DPI then it make look a little blurry with the Aero. There fore at the bottom there is an option to " Use Windows XP style DPI scaling" ,make sure that the box is checked. After hitting OK you will be asked to restart you computer.
